ARTIST STATEMENT
My work deals with notions of reality and truth by examining imagery as it collides with material-based explorations. The physical insistence of paint and color, always vibrant and seductive, interrupts the constructed façade of the pictorial. The visual language of boundaries, marks, accumulations, and divisions alludes to larger social implications, where I use these visual devices to pry at our digitally informed “cyborg-society”, in a world of isolation and hybridization.
